From the Dickson Shopping Centre, head south on Dickson Place toward Antill Street. After about 200 meters, turn left onto Antill Street. Continue walking for approximately 600 meters until you reach the intersection with Northbourne Avenue. Cross Northbourne Avenue using the pedestrian crossing and continue straight onto the footpath. Follow the footpath as it curves slightly. After about 800 meters, you will reach the entrance to Commonwealth Park. Walk through the park, heading toward the lake. The Captain Cook Memorial Globe is located on Barrine Drive, just beyond the lake, approximately 300 meters from the park entrance.

From Dickson, walk to the nearest bus stop on Northbourne Avenue. Catch the ACTION bus route 3, 4, or 5 towards the city. It takes approximately 10 minutes (around 5 stops) to reach the stop at Commonwealth Park. Disembark at the Commonwealth Park stop, then walk through the park toward the lake.
