Car
If you are traveling by car from the Central Coast area, take the M1 Pacific Motorway (formerly known as the F3) heading north. Follow the signs for Newcastle and continue on the motorway for approximately 20 kilometers. Take exit 55 for Somersby and merge onto the Pacific Highway. Continue on the Pacific Highway for about 3 kilometers. The Australian Reptile Park, home to The Big Frilled Lizard, will be on your right. There is parking available on-site, which is free of charge.
Public Transportation - Train and Bus
To reach The Big Frilled Lizard using public transportation, start by taking a train from your nearest station to Gosford Station on the Central Coast & Newcastle Line. Once you arrive at Gosford, exit the station and head to the bus stop located outside the station. Catch the Bus 36 or Bus 37, which travels towards the Australian Reptile Park. The bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as service frequency can vary. Once you reach the stop for the Australian Reptile Park, you will need to walk a short distance to the entrance. The total cost for the train and bus ticket should be around AUD 10-15, depending on your starting station.
