Discover more about Wirrina Cove

Wirrina Cove, nestled on the Fleurieu Peninsula, is a purpose-built community that has evolved into a popular holiday resort since its development in the 1970s. The area was originally inhabited by the Ramindjeri Aboriginal people. Before British colonisation, the Kaurna people inhabited the area, and the location is associated with the Tjilbruke Dreaming story. The name 'Wirrina' itself isn't from a local Aboriginal language; it was chosen by the original developers and thought to mean 'Somewhere to go'. The resort features the Marina St Vincent, offering 210 berths and supporting regional tourism with cruises to explore the coastline. Visitors can enjoy the New Terry Hotel & Golf Resort, an 18-hole golf course, and various accommodations at the Wirrina Cove Holiday Park. Other activities include mini-golf, tennis, and exploring trails like the Tjilbruke Trail. Nearby attractions include Second Valley Beach, Rapid Bay Beach, and Deep Creek Conservation Park.
