Getting There

  • Driving

    From the Flinders Ranges National Park Visitor Centre, head southwest on Bunyeroo Valley Road. Continue for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the junction with the Arkaroola Road. Turn left onto Arkaroola Road and drive for another 15 kilometers. Look for signs indicating Pugilist Hill. As you approach, you will see Unnamed Road on your right. Turn onto Unnamed Road and continue until you reach the designated parking area near Pugilist Hill. Note that the final stretch to the summit is a steep, rocky track, best suited for high-clearance vehicles. There are no parking fees.

    If you're already in the vicinity and prefer to hike, you can park your car at the nearest access point on Unnamed Road and hike towards Pugilist Hill. The walk is approximately 5 kilometers and will showcase the stunning natural beauty of the Flinders Ranges. Make sure to wear sturdy hiking boots and carry essential supplies such as water and food. There are no fees associated with walking to Pugilist Hill.
