Car
If you are driving from Wilpena Pound, take the Wilpena Road towards the Flinders Ranges National Park. Follow the signs towards St Mary Peak. The drive is approximately 15 km and takes about 20 minutes. Once you reach the dedicated parking area for St Mary Peak, park your vehicle there. The trailhead begins from this parking area.
Public Transportation
For those using public transport, you can take a bus from Adelaide to Hawker, which is the nearest town to Flinders Ranges. From Hawker, you will need to arrange for a taxi or a shuttle service to take you to the Flinders Ranges National Park. Hiking
Once you have parked your vehicle at the St Mary Peak parking area, the hike to the peak is approximately 7.5 km one way. The trail is well-marked and takes around 3-4 hours to reach the summit.
