Car
From the Tidal River area within Wilsons Promontory National Park, head south on Tidal River Road. Continue as the road becomes Wilsons Promontory Road. After approximately 10 kilometers, look for a sign to Sparkes Lookout and turn left onto the dirt track. The road can be rough, so drive cautiously. There is parking available near the lookout. Note that day visitor entry to Wilsons Promontory National Park is free.
Walking
From the Tidal River parking area, follow the track towards Mount Oberon Summit. This track connects to the Tongue Point Track. A short side track (300 meters) leads up to Sparkes Lookout. This detour is well worth the effort, offering views as far as Rodondo Island and Shallow Inlet. Allow extra time for the walk to the lookout. No fees are associated with accessing the walking tracks.
