Getting There

Car
If you are starting from Melbourne, take the M1 freeway towards Gippsland. After approximately 150 km, take the exit for the Princes Highway (A1) toward Bairnsdale. Continue on the A1 for about 80 km until you reach Bairnsdale. From Bairnsdale, turn onto the Great Alpine Road (B500) and follow it for about 30 km. Then, take the Omeo Highway (B400) towards Omeo. After about 45 km, look for Wonnangatta Road on your left. Follow Wonnangatta Road for about 20 km, which will lead you directly to Wonnangatta Station. Note that this road can be unsealed and may require a 4WD vehicle.

Public Transportation
There is no direct public transportation to Wonnangatta Station. However, you can take a V/Line train from Melbourne to Bairnsdale. From Bairnsdale, you will need to arrange a taxi or rideshare service to take you to Wonnangatta Road. Please note that this will incur additional costs, and it is advisable to pre-book as rideshare services may not be readily available in that area. Once you reach Wonnangatta Road, follow the same route as the car directions to reach Wonnangatta Station.
