Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the town of Mansfield. Head south on the Mt Buller Road (C511) for about 40 kilometers. Follow the signs to Mt Buller. As you approach Mt Buller, take the Clear Hills Track turnoff to the left. Continue on Clear Hills Track for approximately 8 kilometers until you reach Craig’s Hut, which will be on your right. There is a parking area nearby. Note that a vehicle access fee may apply during peak seasons, so check local regulations before your visit.
Public Transport
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Mansfield to Mt Buller. Several services operate during the ski season. Once you arrive at Mt Buller, you will need to arrange for a local shuttle service or taxi to take you to Craig’s Hut, as it is located about 8 kilometers from the main Mt Buller village. Ensure to pre-book the shuttle service, especially during peak tourist seasons.
Hiking
If you are feeling adventurous, you can hike to Craig’s Hut from Mt Buller. There are well-marked trails, though this should only be attempted by those who are physically fit.
