Discover more about The Great Aussie Beer Shed & Heritage Farm Museum

The Great Aussie Beer Shed & Heritage Farm Museum, located a short drive from Echuca, is a celebration of Australian history and culture through the lens of beer and farming. Founded in 2003, the museum is the brainchild of Neil Thomas, a passionate collector of Australiana. What started as a personal hobby has grown into one of the most unique and entertaining tourist attractions in the region. The museum's main draw is its staggering collection of over 20,000 beer cans from Australia and around the world. But it's not just about the cans; the museum also features a wide array of brewery-related items, including tap tops, handles, barrels, bottles, and signs. Beyond beer, the Heritage Farm Museum displays an extensive collection of old farming equipment from the late 1800s, including Furphy farm water carts. You'll also find a blacksmith workshop, shearing shed, milking shed, and an old kitchen with 100-year-old ovens built locally in Echuca. More recently, a Car Museum known as Jack's Shed was added, displaying vintage and classic cars. Another section showcases approximately 4,000 beer steins and a collection of horse-drawn carriages, including a Dabb & Co Royal Mail Coach from 1890. The Great Aussie Beer Shed offers guided tours led by Neil Thomas himself, who shares the history and uniqueness of the items on display. After your tour, relax in the indoor function center or enjoy a beer. The museum also hosts events and tastings.
