If you are already in the vicinity of Melbourne Central Shopping Centre, you can walk to the State Library Victoria. Exit the shopping center onto La Trobe Street, then turn left onto Swanston Street. Walk south for about 5 minutes, and you will see the library on your right at 328 Swanston Street.
