Getting There

  • Car

    If you're traveling by car, head towards Phillip Island. From the center of Mornington Peninsula, take the M11 (Nepean Highway) north towards Frankston. Continue on the M11 until you reach the exit for the M420 (Bass Highway) towards Philip Island. Follow the M420 for approximately 30 km. As you approach Phillip Island, look for signs for Churchill Island. Turn left onto Samuel Amess Drive, and continue for about 2 km until you reach Churchill Island. Parking is available on site, but please note that there may be a small parking fee.

  • Public Transport

    For those using public transport, start at Mornington Peninsula and take a bus to Cranbourne station. You can take Bus 788 from Mornington to Cranbourne. Once at Cranbourne station, switch to the V/Line train service towards Melbourne and get off at the nearest station, which is San Remo. From San Remo, you can take a local bus to Phillip Island. After arriving at Phillip Island, board the local bus towards Cowes, and get off at the stop for Churchill Island. Note that check the local bus schedules as they may vary, and consider bringing some cash for the bus fare.

  • Combination of Car and Ferry

    Another scenic option is to drive to the ferry terminal at Stony Point. From Mornington, take the M11 (Nepean Highway) north towards Frankston, then follow signs to Stony Point. Here you can take the ferry to Cowes on Phillip Island. The ferry ride is around 30 minutes and offers beautiful views. Once in Cowes, you can drive or take a local bus to Churchill Island. Be sure to check the ferry schedule in advance, and there is a fee for both the ferry ride and parking at the terminal.
