Car
If you are driving from Melbourne, take the M1 freeway towards Frankston. Continue on the M1 until it merges with the Moorooduc Highway (A780). Follow signs for Mornington Peninsula and take the exit onto Frankston-Flinders Road (B110). Continue on B110, which turns into Balnarring Road. Follow signs to Phillip Island. Once you reach Cowes, follow the signs for Newhaven. Turn onto Phillip Island Road and continue until you reach Forrest Caves, located at Bass Strait, Phillip Island Rd, Newhaven VIC 3922. There is no entry fee for visiting the caves, but parking might be limited during peak times.

To reach Forrest Caves using public transportation, first take a train from Melbourne to Frankston Station via the Frankston Line. From Frankston Station, you can take a bus (Route 788) to Cowes. Once in Cowes, change to Bus Route 784 towards Newhaven. Alight at the stop closest to Forrest Caves, which is along Phillip Island Road, Newhaven VIC 3922.
