If you are driving to Mount Field Campground, start from the main road leading into Mount Field National Park. Navigate to the entrance of the park via the Gordon River Road (B61). Once you enter the park, follow the signs towards Lake Dobson. Continue on Lake Dobson Road for approximately 12 kilometers until you reach the campground area. There is a car park available at the campground.

Public Transportation
To reach Mount Field Campground via public transportation, take a bus from Hobart to the nearest town, which is New Norfolk. From New Norfolk, you will need to arrange for a taxi or a rideshare service to take you to Mount Field National Park. Upon arrival at the park entrance, follow the same route as those driving. You can walk or bike the remaining distance on Lake Dobson Road to the campground. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as services may be limited.

If you are already within Mount Field National Park and wish to walk or bike to Mount Field Campground, find your way to Lake Dobson Road from your current location. Make sure to bring adequate water and supplies, as the walk can take about 2-3 hours depending on your starting point.
