Getting There

Car
If you are driving, head towards the Mount Kosciuszko National Park. From Jindabyne, take the Kosciuszko Road (B72) towards the park entrance. You will need to pay an entrance fee of approximately AUD 17 per vehicle. After entering the park, continue on Kosciuszko Road until you reach the Thredbo Resort area. Follow signs for Thredbo and park your car in the designated parking area. From there, take the Thredbo Chairlift to the top of the mountain, which costs around AUD 40 for a return trip.

Once you reach the top of the chairlift, you will be at the start of the Summit Walk. The walk to Seamans Hut is approximately 1.5 km (about 30 minutes) from the chairlift station.
