    If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Mount Wellington. Head northwest on Huon Road (A6) towards the Mount Wellington summit. Follow the signs for the Wellington Park and Mount Wellington Scenic Drive. After approximately 15 minutes, you will reach the Fern Tree area. Continue along the scenic drive until you see signs for Tom Thumb, which is located at coordinates 45FV+P5, Wellington Park TAS 7054. There is parking available near the trailhead.

    For those using public transportation, board a bus from the center of Mount Wellington (look for the Metro Tasmania bus services). Take the bus route number 446 towards Fern Tree. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Fern Tree stop.
