Getting there

Car

If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Mount Wellington. Head south on Huon Road towards Wellington Park. Follow the signs to Wellington Park and then take the entrance at the Wellington Park Visitor Centre. Once you enter the park, continue to follow the signs for Wellington Falls. The drive will take you through some beautiful scenery. There is a parking area near the trailhead to Wellington Falls where you can leave your vehicle. Please note that parking may incur a small fee, so be prepared with cash or a card.

Public Transportation

For those using public transportation, take the Metro Tasmania bus service from Hobart to the Wellington Park Visitor Centre. You can catch bus route 446 or 447 from the city center, which will take you to the park. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the latest timings. Once you arrive at the Visitor Centre, there is a walking trail that leads to Wellington Falls. The walk is approximately 45 minutes to an hour depending on your pace. Ensure you wear comfortable footwear as the trail can be uneven.

Walking

If you are already in Wellington Park, you can access Wellington Falls by walking from the Visitor Centre. Follow the well-marked walking trail that starts behind the Visitor Centre. It is a moderate hike, so be prepared with water and snacks. The trail is about 2 kilometers one way and will take around 45 minutes to an hour to reach the falls. The path is surrounded by lush vegetation, and you might see various wildlife along the way. Please make sure to stay on the designated trails.
