Car
If you are driving to Altona Pier, start from the central area of Ningaloo Reef. Head south on Ningaloo Road towards the town of Exmouth. Continue on Exmouth Road until you reach the intersection with the Minilya-Exmouth Road. Turn left onto Minilya-Exmouth Road, which will eventually lead you to the North West Coastal Highway (A1). Follow the A1 for approximately 140 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for Altona. Follow the signs to Altona Beach, and you will find Altona Pier located at Esplanade, Altona VIC 3018. Parking is available near the pier.

Public Transportation
To reach Altona Pier using public transportation, you will need to take a bus from Ningaloo Reef to Exmouth. Once in Exmouth, you can catch a bus to Melbourne. Upon arrival in Melbourne, take a train on the Werribee line towards Werribee. Get off at Altona Station. From Altona Station, you can either walk or take a local bus to Altona Pier located at Esplanade, Altona VIC 3018. Be sure to check the local bus schedules for the most accurate times.
