Car
If you are driving from the Ningaloo Reef area, start by heading south on the North West Coastal Highway (National Route 1). Continue on this highway for approximately 900 kilometers until you reach the city of Geelong. From Geelong, take the exit onto the Princes Highway (M1) toward Melbourne. After about 6 kilometers, take the Eastern Beach Road exit and follow the signs to Steampacket Gardens, located at Eastern Beach Rd, Geelong VIC 3220. Parking is available nearby, but be aware of any parking fees that may apply.

To reach Steampacket Gardens via public transport, first take a bus from Ningaloo Reef to the nearest city with a train station, such as Exmouth. From Exmouth, take a bus or taxi to the nearest major train station. Once at Geelong Station, you can walk or take a local bus to Steampacket Gardens. The gardens are located about 2 kilometers from the train station. Walking from the station will take around 25 minutes, or you can catch a local bus that stops near Eastern Beach Rd.
