Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, head towards Byron Bay. From the Pacific Highway (A1), take the exit toward Byron Bay. Follow the signs to Byron Bay town. Once you reach the town, follow Lighthouse Road towards Cape Byron State Conservation Area. There is free parking available at the visitor center, but it can be limited during peak times.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Cape Byron State Conservation Area via public transport, take a bus to Byron Bay. Services such as the 'Byron Bay Bus' operate from various locations in Northern Rivers. Once in Byron Bay, you can walk to the conservation area, which is approximately a 30-minute walk from the town center. Alternatively, you can catch a local shuttle service or taxi from the town to the park entrance.

• Walking

  If you are already in Byron Bay, walking to Cape Byron State Conservation Area is a pleasant option. Start from the town center and head east on Lawson Street until you reach the coast. Follow the coastal path along the beach, which will lead you directly to the conservation area and the iconic Cape Byron Lighthouse.

• Cycling

  Cyclists can also reach Cape Byron State Conservation Area by taking the bike-friendly coastal path from Byron Bay. There are bike rental shops in town. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow local cycling rules. Once at the conservation area, secure your bike at the designated bike racks.
