Car
If you're driving from Byron Bay, take the Pacific Highway (A1) heading north. After approximately 40 kilometers, take exit 71 towards Murwillumbah. Continue on the Murwillumbah-Coolangatta Road (B62) for about 30 kilometers until you reach the town of Natural Bridge. Once in Natural Bridge, follow the signs to Daves Creek. The last part of the journey involves turning onto a smaller, unsealed road leading directly to Daves Creek. Be cautious as this road can be narrow and winding.
Public Transportation
To reach Daves Creek via public transportation, start by taking a bus from Byron Bay to Murwillumbah. Check the local bus service for schedules. Once you arrive in Murwillumbah, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service to Natural Bridge. Inform the driver that your destination is Daves Creek, as it may not be a widely known location. Be prepared for a taxi fare of approximately AUD 40-60, depending on the distance.
Combination of Car and Hiking
For those interested in hiking, drive to the Binna Burra area, which is about 25 kilometers from Natural Bridge. There are clearly marked trails that lead to Daves Creek. Ensure you have proper hiking gear and supplies. The hike can take several hours, so start early in the day. Be aware that some sections may be steep and require good fitness.
