Breathtaking Views at 4 Mile Beach Lookout

Getting There

• Walking

  Start at the main street of Port Douglas, Macrossan Street. From there, head north until you reach the intersection with Murphy Street. Turn left onto Murphy Street and continue walking for about 1 kilometer. You will pass several shops and restaurants along the way. Keep walking until you see the signs for 4 Mile Beach on your left. Continue along Murphy Street until you reach the entrance to 4 Mile Beach. There, you will find a pathway that leads up to the lookout. Follow the path, which will take you uphill, and enjoy the stunning views from the 4 Mile Beach Lookout.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike from one of the local shops on Macrossan Street. Once you have your bike, start at Macrossan Street and head north towards Murphy Street. Turn left on Murphy Street. The ride to 4 Mile Beach Lookout is approximately 1 kilometer and is mostly flat. You can park your bike at the entrance to 4 Mile Beach and then walk up the path to the lookout. Enjoy the views at the top!

• Public Transport

  While Port Douglas is a small town and public transport options are limited, you can check for local shuttle services that might take you to 4 Mile Beach. Ask at your accommodation for the latest shuttle schedules. If you can get a ride to the beach, you can easily walk from there to the lookout by following the signs and pathways leading up to it.
