Walking
From the center of Port Douglas, head east on Macrossan Street towards the beach. At the end of Macrossan Street, turn left onto Wharf Street. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Captain Cook Highway (State Route 44). Follow the Captain Cook Highway for about 5 kilometers. You will pass through beautiful coastal views and possibly spot some wildlife along the way. Watch for the signs indicating Oak Beach. Palm Field is located at 5077 Captain Cook Hwy, Oak Beach QLD 4877. It may take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes to walk there, so wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
Bicycle
If you can rent a bicycle from one of the shops in Port Douglas, start at the intersection of Macrossan Street and Wharf Street. Head east on Macrossan Street, then turn left onto Wharf Street. Continue to the roundabout and take the second exit onto Captain Cook Highway. Follow the highway for about 5 kilometers. Riding a bike will take around 30 minutes. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow road safety rules.
Public Transport
To reach Palm Field via public transport, head to the nearest bus stop in Port Douglas located on Macrossan Street. Check the local bus schedule for routes heading towards Oak Beach. You will need to take a bus that goes along Captain Cook Highway. Request to get off at the nearest stop to 5077 Captain Cook Hwy.
