Shuttle Bus
From Port Douglas, head to the nearest shuttle bus stop, which is located at the corner of Macrossan Street and Wharf Street. Look for the shuttle service that operates to Kuranda, specifically Rainforestation Nature Park. Purchase a ticket from the driver or at the shuttle service desk. The journey will take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. The shuttle will drop you off directly at Rainforestation Nature Park.

Walk to the Port Douglas bus stop located on Macrossan Street. Catch the local public bus towards Cairns that stops at Kuranda. For the most accurate schedule, check the local bus timetable or inquire at your accommodation. Once in Kuranda, disembark at the nearest stop and walk towards 1030 Kennedy Hwy, which is around a 15-minute walk to Rainforestation Nature Park.

Bicycle Rental
Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Port Douglas, such as Port Douglas Bike Hire. Ride south on Macrossan Street towards the Captain Cook Highway. Follow the signs directing you to Kuranda, which is approximately a 20 km ride. The scenic bicycle path will take you through beautiful surroundings. Once in Kuranda, navigate to 1030 Kennedy Hwy to reach Rainforestation Nature Park.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can embark on a walking tour. Start from the Main Beach in Port Douglas, walk along the foreshore until you reach the end of the beach. Turn left onto the Captain Cook Highway and follow the road signs towards Kuranda. This is a long walk, approximately 20 km, so ensure you have plenty of water and wear comfortable shoes. Once you arrive in Kuranda, head to 1030 Kennedy Hwy to find Rainforestation Nature Park.
