Getting There

  If you are starting from the heart of Port Douglas, make your way to Macrossan Street, which is the main street lined with shops and restaurants. Head north along Macrossan Street until you reach the intersection with Wharf Street. Continue straight, and you will see the beach on your right. As you approach the end of Wharf Street, you will see a pathway leading towards the water. Follow this path until you reach Rex Smeal Park, which is located along the foreshore, offering stunning views of the Coral Sea.

  For those renting a bicycle, start from the central area of Port Douglas and head towards Macrossan Street. Ride north along Macrossan Street until you reach Wharf Street. Turn right onto Wharf Street and continue straight ahead. You will eventually reach a pathway that leads you toward the beach. Cycle along this path until you arrive at Rex Smeal Park, where you can lock up your bike and enjoy the park's amenities and scenic views.
