  If you're driving from the Riverina region, head towards the Hume Highway (M31). Take the Hume Highway northbound towards Sydney. After approximately 200 km, take the exit toward Wagga Wagga and follow signs to the Sturt Highway (A20). Continue on the Sturt Highway until you reach the intersection with the Olympic Highway (B87). Merge onto the Olympic Highway and drive towards Griffith. Upon reaching Griffith, continue to follow signs to the Newell Highway (A39), which will lead you to the city of Brisbane. From Brisbane, follow the signs to South Brisbane and The Arbour. Picnic Island Green is located at The Arbour, South Brisbane QLD 4101. Parking may be available near the park, but be sure to check for any parking fees.

  For those using public transport, start by taking a bus or train from your location in the Riverina to Wagga Wagga. From Wagga Wagga, catch a train to Sydney Central Station. Once in Sydney, transfer to the XPT train service heading towards Brisbane. Upon arrival in Brisbane, use the 'City Loop' bus service or a local bus to reach South Brisbane.
