From Surfers Paradise, walk to the nearest bus stop on Surfers Paradise Boulevard. Look for the stops near the intersection with Cavill Avenue. Take the bus route 747 towards the Gold Coast Airport, but get off at the stop for 'Runaway Bay' (around 20-25 minutes ride). From the bus stop, walk towards the waterfront area, and you will find yourself at Runaway Bay.

Head to the nearest G:link light rail station, which is located on Surfers Paradise Boulevard. Board a train heading towards Broadbeach South. Change at the Gold Coast University Hospital station to catch a bus (route 756) towards Runaway Bay. After approximately 30-35 minutes, get off at the 'Runaway Bay' stop. From there, walk a few minutes towards the waterfront to reach your destination.

If you are feeling adventurous, you can embark on a scenic walk from Surfers Paradise to Runaway Bay. Start at the beach promenade in Surfers Paradise and follow the coastline north. Keep walking along the beach, passing through Main Beach and then to the area of Runaway Bay. This walk can take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, but the views are absolutely stunning along the way.
