    From the center of Surfers Paradise, head north on Cavill Avenue until you reach the intersection with Ferny Avenue. Turn left onto Ferny Avenue and continue walking towards the Gold Coast Highway. You will pass the Surfers Paradise Transit Centre on your right. Once you reach the Gold Coast Highway, cross at the pedestrian lights. Continue straight along the highway until you reach the Broadwater Parklands on your left. Enter the park and follow the path that leads you towards Marine Parade. Keep walking along the park until you see Southport Pier ahead.

    From Surfers Paradise, walk to the nearest bus stop at the corner of Cavill Avenue and Ferny Avenue. Take the G:link tram from the 'Cavill Avenue' station heading north towards Helensvale. Get off at the 'Southport' station. From there, walk east along Scarborough Street, then turn right onto Marine Parade. Continue walking until you reach Southport Pier, which will be on your left.
