Purchase a ticket from the ticket booth or use your Opal card to tap on at the ferry gate. Board the ferry bound for Manly and enjoy the scenic ride, which takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Manly Wharf, exit the ferry and follow the signs towards the beach. Walk along the promenade, passing various shops and cafes. Continue straight until you reach the end of the promenade, where you'll find the entrance to Shelly Beach.

If you prefer to take a bus to Shelly Beach, start at the nearest bus stop to your location in Sydney. Look for buses heading towards Manly. You can take the L90 bus, which departs from various locations in the city, including Wynyard and the Sydney CBD. The journey will take approximately 40 minutes. Alight at the 'Manly Corso' stop. From there, walk towards Manly Beach along the Corso, a pedestrian mall filled with shops and eateries. Continue walking until you reach the beach, then follow the coastal path to Shelly Beach, which is a short 15-minute walk.
