If you're traveling by car, start from Hobart and take the Tasman Highway (A3) heading southeast. Follow the signs for Sorell and continue for about 30 kilometers until you reach the town of Sorell. From Sorell, take the Arthur Highway (A9) towards Port Arthur. After approximately 30 kilometers, look for the signs indicating Primrose Sands. Turn left onto Primrose Sands Road and follow it for about 7 kilometers. Continue straight until you reach Gypsy Bay, which is located at the coordinates 3MXF+6X, Primrose Sands TAS 7173. Parking is available nearby.
Public Transportation
To reach Gypsy Bay using public transport, start from Hobart and take a bus to Sorell. The Metro Tasmania bus service operates routes that connect Hobart to Sorell. Once you arrive in Sorell, you will need to transfer to a taxi or rideshare service to reach Gypsy Bay, as there are no direct public transport options from Sorell to Primrose Sands. The taxi ride will take approximately 15 minutes and will cost around AUD 30-40.
