Car
If you are driving from Launceston, take the A8 highway southbound towards Hobart. After approximately 40 minutes, you will see signs for Beaconsfield. Take the exit towards Beaconsfield and follow the signs, turning onto the West Street. The Beaconsfield Mine & Heritage Centre will be on your right-hand side at West St, Beaconsfield TAS 7270. There is free parking available on site.
Public Transportation
From Launceston, you can catch a bus from the Launceston Transit Centre to Beaconsfield. Check the Metro Tasmania website for the latest schedule. The bus ride takes about 50 minutes. Once you arrive at the Beaconsfield bus stop, it is a short 10-minute walk to the Beaconsfield Mine & Heritage Centre. Head south on the Main Road, then turn right onto West Street. The centre will be located on your left.
Taxi or Rideshare
If you prefer a more direct route from Launceston or surrounding areas, consider using a taxi or rideshare service like Uber. The journey will take approximately 40 minutes. The fare may vary but expect to pay around AUD 80-100 depending on the pickup location.
