Car
If you're driving from Hobart, take the A6 highway towards Sorell. Continue on the A6 for approximately 40 kilometers until you reach the roundabout at Sorell. Take the second exit onto the A3 highway towards Port Arthur. Follow the A3 for about 60 kilometers. As you approach Port Arthur, keep an eye out for the signs directing you to Remarkable Cave. Turn left onto Safety Cove Road, and after about 3 kilometers, you will arrive at the Remarkable Cave car park. Please note that parking is free.
Public Transportation
To reach Remarkable Cave via public transport, start at the Hobart Bus Station. Take the bus service (Bus 100) towards Port Arthur; the journey typically lasts about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at Port Arthur, you can either walk (approximately 3 kilometers) or take a taxi to Remarkable Cave. Walking can be a pleasant option as it allows you to enjoy the surrounding scenery. Taxis can be booked through local services, and fares may vary, so it’s advisable to confirm the rate before your journey.
Bicycle
For the more adventurous, cycling can be a thrilling way to reach Remarkable Cave. Start in Hobart and follow the same route as the car directions via the A3 highway. The total distance is around 60 kilometers, so ensure you have appropriate gear, water, and snacks.
