Getting There

  • Car

    From Mount Field National Park, exit the park via the Main Road (B62) heading north. Continue on B62 for approximately 25 kilometers until you reach the junction with the A10 highway. Turn right onto A10 and follow it for about 15 kilometers. Take the exit towards Beaconsfield and follow the signs to West St. The Beaconsfield Mine & Heritage Centre will be on your left at West St, Beaconsfield TAS 7270.

    To reach Beaconsfield Mine & Heritage Centre from Mount Field National Park using public transportation, first head to the nearest bus stop outside the park. You will need to take a bus towards New Norfolk. Once at New Norfolk, transfer to a bus that heads towards Launceston. From Launceston, take a bus that goes to Beaconsfield. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as they may vary. Once you arrive at Beaconsfield, walk approximately 1 kilometer south on West St to reach the Beaconsfield Mine & Heritage Centre.
