    If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Mount Wellington. Head onto the Huon Road (A6) and drive approximately 60 kilometers towards the Mount Field National Park. Follow signs to the park entrance. There is a parking area available at the visitor center. Note that there is a park entry fee, which costs around AUD 16 per vehicle.

    For those utilizing public transportation, take the Metro Tasmania bus service from Hobart to Mount Field National Park. Board the bus at the Hobart City Interchange and check the schedule for bus times, as services may be limited. Once you arrive at the Mount Field National Park entrance, you will need to walk approximately 2 kilometers to reach Russell Falls. Follow the Russell Falls Track, which is well-marked and offers stunning views along the way.

  • Walking

    After arriving at the visitor center (if you drove), head towards the Russell Falls Track. The walk is approximately 30 minutes one way along a well-maintained path. The track is mostly flat and suitable for all fitness levels, making it an enjoyable walk through lush rainforest to the falls.
