Getting There

Walking
Start at the Bregenz train station (Bregenz Bahnhof). Exit the station and head towards the lake (Bodensee) by taking the main road, Bahnhofstraße. Continue straight until you reach the lakeside promenade, which will be on your right. Follow the promenade along the lake, taking in the beautiful views. After about 20 minutes of walking, you will reach the Bregenz harbor (Hafen Bregenz). From the harbor, take one of the passenger ferries heading towards Lindau. The ferry ride takes approximately 30 minutes.

Ferry
Once you arrive at Lindau (the island), disembark from the ferry and follow the signs towards the main square (Lindau Insel Hauptplatz). From the square, walk towards the waterfront. You will see the iconic Bavarian Lion statue. Continue along the promenade, and you will eventually see the Neuer Lindauer Leuchtturm (New Lindau Lighthouse) at the harbor entrance. It is a short 10-minute walk from the main square to the lighthouse.
