Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start from the town of Lienz, which is well-connected to various regions of East Tyrol. From Lienz, take the B100 highway towards the south. Continue on B100 for approximately 35 km until you reach the junction with the B49 road. Take the B49 towards Auronzo di Cadore. Follow the signs for Auronzo di Cadore for about 30 km. Once you arrive in the town of Auronzo di Cadore, continue to follow the signs for Lake Antorno. You will drive through a scenic route, and upon reaching Lake Antorno, you will find parking available nearby. Note that parking might incur a small fee, usually around €5 per day.

• Public Transportation

  For those opting for public transport, you can take a regional train to Auronzo di Cadore. From Lienz, board a train to Calalzo di Cadore, which is the nearest train station. The journey takes about 50 minutes. Upon arrival at Calalzo di Cadore, you can take a bus operated by Dolomiti Bus to Lake Antorno. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as they vary throughout the day. A one-way bus ticket typically costs around €3.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  If you prefer a more direct route or if public transport schedules are not convenient, you can take a taxi or use a rideshare service from Auronzo di Cadore to Lake Antorno. The distance is about 12 km, and the ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Taxi fares may vary, but you can expect to pay around €20 to €30 for this trip. Make sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.
