If you're traveling by car, start from the town of Lienz in East Tyrol. Head northwest on B100 (the Felbertauernstraße) for approximately 41 km until you reach the junction with B108. Turn left onto B108 and continue for about 25 km. You will enter the region of South Tyrol. Follow the signs for Auronzo di Cadore as you approach the town. Once in Auronzo di Cadore, continue to follow signs for Lake Misurina, which is about 10 km from Auronzo. The drive takes roughly 1 hour and 15 minutes, depending on traffic. Note that there may be tolls on certain segments of the road.

To reach Lake Misurina using public transportation, start by taking a train from Lienz to Calalzo di Cadore. This journey typically involves a transfer at the junction in Fortezza. Once you arrive in Calalzo di Cadore, you can take a local bus (line 445) directly to Lake Misurina. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Be sure to check the current bus schedule as they may vary depending on the season. Tickets for the bus can be purchased at the train station or on the bus, costing around €3.
