Bus
From Eisenstadt, head to the main bus station located at the Eisenstadt Bahnhof. Take the bus number 280 towards Vienna. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Wien, Stadthalle' stop. From there, you can transfer to tram line 2 towards 'Karlsplatz'. After about 10 stops, get off at 'Schwedenplatz'. Walk towards the Danube River, and you will find Alte Donau just a short 10-minute walk away.
Train
Make your way to the Eisenstadt train station. Board a train heading to Vienna, which usually departs every 30 minutes. The trip will take around 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Vienna's Hauptbahnhof (main train station), transfer to metro line U1 (the red line) heading towards 'Reumannplatz'. After 4 stops, get off at 'Stephansplatz' station. From there, exit and walk towards the Danube River; Alte Donau is about a 20-minute walk from the Stephansplatz.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Eisenstadt. Head towards the Danube Cycle Path, which is well marked. Follow the signs towards Vienna, which is approximately a 20-kilometer ride. Once you reach Vienna, continue along the cycle path until you reach Alte Donau. The ride will take around 1-1.5 hours depending on your pace.
