Public Transport
From Eisenstadt Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take the train towards Vienna. Make sure to board a train that stops at Wien Mitte or Wien Hauptbahnhof. The journey takes approximately 40-50 minutes. Upon arrival at Wien Mitte or Wien Hauptbahnhof, follow the signs to the U-Bahn (subway) station.
Public Transport
Once you are at the U-Bahn station, take the U3 line (the orange line) towards Stephansplatz. Travel for 4 stops and get off at Stephansplatz station. From there, exit the station and walk towards the Hofburg, which is about a 10-minute walk straight ahead.
Walking
From the Stephansplatz station, head west on Stephansplatz toward Kärntnertor Theater. Continue straight onto Franz-Josefs-Kai, crossing the river. After about 500 meters, turn left onto Michaelerplatz, where you will see the entrance to Hofburg. Follow the signs for the museum and historical buildings.
Taxi
If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a taxi directly from Eisenstadt Hauptbahnhof to Hofburg. The taxi ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Just ask the driver to take you to Hofburg in Vienna.
