Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From Eisenstadt, take the train from Eisenstadt Bahnhof to Wien Hauptbahnhof (Vienna Central Station). The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Wien Hauptbahnhof, transfer to the U-Bahn (subway) system. Take the U1 line (red line) towards Leopoldau. Get off at Stephansplatz station. From there, transfer to the U2 line (purple line) towards Karlsplatz and get off at the Museumsquartier station. Exit the station and walk towards the Spittelberggasse, which is about a 10-minute walk away. Follow the signs to Spittelberg and you will arrive at Weihnachtsmarkt am Spittelberg.

    If you are already in the city center of Vienna, you can walk to Weihnachtsmarkt am Spittelberg. Start from the Museumsquartier. Head northwest towards Museumsplatz, then turn left onto Mariahilfer Straße. Continue straight until you reach the corner of Spittelberggasse. Turn right onto Spittelberggasse and you will see the market at Spittelberggasse 20/1.

    From Eisenstadt, take the bus (Bus 1) from Eisenstadt to Wien, which may take around 45 minutes. Once in Vienna, you can switch to the tram network. Take Tram 49 from the nearest stop to your arrival point towards the 'Karlsplatz' station. Get off at the 'Neubaugasse' stop and walk north on Neubaugasse until you reach Spittelberggasse. The Weihnachtsmarkt is located at Spittelberggasse 20/1.
