Public Transport - Tram
From the city center of Graz, head to the nearest tram station, either 'Jakominiplatz' or 'Hauptplatz'. Board tram line 1 (direction: Gösting) or tram line 7 (direction: Eggenberg) and ride for approximately 15 minutes. Disembark at the 'Eggenberg' stop. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to Schloss Eggenberg: Alte Galerie. Head northwest on Eggenberger Allee, and you will see the castle on your left.
Public Transport - Bus
Start from the Graz city center and make your way to the 'Jakominiplatz' bus station. Take bus line 30 or 31 towards 'Eggenberg' and ride for about 20 minutes. Get off at the 'Schloss Eggenberg' stop. The entrance to Schloss Eggenberg: Alte Galerie is just a few steps away from the bus stop.
Walking
If you're near the city center, you can also enjoy a scenic walk to Schloss Eggenberg: Alte Galerie. Head southwest on the main street, 'Kaiser-Josef-Platz', and continue straight. After about 30 minutes of walking, you will arrive at Eggenberger Allee. Turn left, and the castle will be on your right after a short walk.
Bicycle
For a more active option, consider renting a bicycle. You can find several rental stations in the city. Cycle along the Mur River towards the southwest direction. Follow the bike paths through 'Hofgasse' and 'Eggenberger Allee'. It should take about 20-30 minutes to reach Schloss Eggenberg: Alte Galerie, depending on your pace. The castle has bike racks available for parking.
