Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the Hauptplatz (Main Square) in Graz, head east towards the Herrengasse street. Walk along Herrengasse for about 10 minutes until you reach the end of the street. Then turn left onto the Burggasse and continue walking straight until you reach the Joanneum Quarter, where the Universalmuseum Joanneum is located at the address 8010 Graz, Burgring 2. The museum is directly across from the beautiful Stadtpark, making it a pleasant walk.

From Graz Hauptbahnhof (Main Train Station), take Tram Line 1 or 7 towards 'Graz, Jakominiplatz'. Get off at the 'Jakominiplatz' stop. From there, transfer to Tram Line 3 or 5 towards 'Graz, Hauptplatz'. After one stop, get off at 'Burgring'. The Universalmuseum Joanneum is a short walk from the tram stop. Head towards Burgring 2 and you will see the museum entrance.
