From the main entrance of the Grossglockner High Alpine Road, drive up the scenic route, which is approximately 30 kilometers long. Follow the signs to the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe viewpoint. This will take you through breathtaking landscapes and several hairpin bends. After reaching the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe, continue following the signs for the Aussichtsplattform, which is a short walk from the parking area. Please note, there is a toll fee for using the Grossglockner High Alpine Road; the current rate is around €37 for a car, valid for multiple trips within the same day.

For those using public transportation, take a train to the town of Zell am See. From there, you can catch a bus to the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. The bus service is operated by Postbus and runs during the summer months. Ensure you check the bus schedule in advance, as services may vary. Once you arrive at the Grossglockner High Alpine Road, you will need to pay the toll fee of approximately €37 for access. Upon entering the road, take the bus or walk to the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe viewpoint, and from there, follow the signs for the Aussichtsplattform. This is a short walk from the viewpoint.
