Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey on the Grossglockner High Alpine Road (B108) from either direction. Make sure to pay the toll fee at the entrance, which is approximately €36 for cars (as of 2023). Drive towards the direction of the Pasterze Glacier. After passing the Franz-Josefs-Höhe viewpoint, continue driving until you reach the parking area for Wasserfallwinkelkeessee. Look for the signs indicating 'Wasserfallwinkelkeessee' as you approach. Park your vehicle in the designated area, and from there, you will need to walk approximately 15-20 minutes on a marked trail to reach the lake itself.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus from nearby towns such as Zell am See or Kaprun to the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. Check the local bus schedules for routes that go to the road. Once you arrive at the nearest bus stop along the Grossglockner, you will still need to walk to Wasserfallwinkelkeessee. Follow the signs that lead to the lake, which is about a 20-30 minute hike from the bus stop. Ensure you check the bus times for return trips, as they can be limited, especially during off-peak seasons.
