Walking
If you are starting from Innsbruck's main train station (Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof), exit the station and head east on Bahnhofstraße. Continue straight for about 600 meters until you reach the intersection with Maria-Theresien-Straße. Turn left onto Maria-Theresien-Straße, which is a pedestrian-friendly street filled with shops and cafes. Walk straight for approximately 1 kilometer. You will pass the beautiful Golden Roof (Goldenes Dachl) and the City Tower (Stadtturm) on your right. Continue until you reach the end of the street, where you will see Union Fountain (Unionbrunnen) located in the square in front of the Tyrolean State Theatre (Tiroler Landestheater). The fountain is easily recognizable with its ornate design.
Public Transport
From Innsbruck's main train station (Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof), take tram line 1 or 3 towards 'Igls' or 'Mühlau'. Get off at the 'Landestheater' stop, which is just a few stops away. Once you exit the tram, you will find Union Fountain (Unionbrunnen) directly in front of you, located in the square near the Tyrolean State Theatre (Tiroler Landestheater).
Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental stations around Innsbruck. Start from the city center and head towards Maria-Theresien-Straße. Follow the same route as pedestrians; cycling along this street is allowed. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will reach the square in front of the Tyrolean State Theatre, where Union Fountain (Unionbrunnen) is located. There are bike racks available near the fountain for you to park your bike.
