Car
If you are traveling by car, start from any location in Innviertel and head towards the A1 motorway. Follow the A1 towards Salzburg. Take the exit for Bad Ischl (Exit 46) and continue on B145 towards Hallstatt. Once you reach Hallstatt, follow the signs for Salzbergstraße. The destination, Salzwelten Hallstatt, is located at Salzbergstraße 21, 4830 Hallstatt. Parking is available nearby, but be aware that there may be a parking fee.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, start by taking a train from any major station in Innviertel to either Bad Ischl or Hallstatt. If you arrive at Bad Ischl, transfer to a local bus (Bus 150) towards Hallstatt. Alternatively, if you arrive directly at Hallstatt, you can walk from the train station to Salzwelten Hallstatt, which is approximately a 15-minute walk uphill. Follow the signs towards Salzbergstraße. Be sure to check the train and bus schedules in advance as they may vary.
Walking
Once you arrive in Hallstatt, if you are staying in the town or parked nearby, the walk to Salzwelten Hallstatt is scenic. From the center of Hallstatt, head towards Lake Hallstatt and then follow the signs directing you to Salzbergstraße. The walk will take approximately 20-30 minutes uphill, offering beautiful views along the way.
