Car
From Kitzbühel, take the B161 road towards Kirchberg in Tirol. Continue on B161 for approximately 18 km until you reach the roundabout at the junction with the B173. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto B173 towards Kufstein. Follow B173 for about 15 km until you reach Kufstein. Once in Kufstein, follow signs for 'Festung' and park in one of the public parking areas nearby. The fortress is a short walk from the parking lot.

Public Transportation
From Kitzbühel, take the regional train (ÖBB) from Kitzbühel Bahnhof towards Kufstein. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Kufstein train station, exit the station and follow the signs to the bus stop. Take Bus 2 or Bus 4 towards Kufstein Festung. The bus ride is about 10 minutes. Get off at the 'Festung' stop, and you will be just a short walk from Kufstein Fortress.

If you are already in Kufstein and prefer walking, the fortress is accessible on foot. From the city center, head northwest towards the fortress. Follow the signs leading to 'Festung Kufstein'. It is a steep walk uphill, taking approximately 20-30 minutes, but the views along the way are quite rewarding.
