Car
From the main parking area of Krimml Waterfalls, head east on the B165 road. After about 1.5 km, you will reach the fork in the road; take the left fork to continue on B165. Follow the road for approximately 3 km until you reach the Krimmler Kees trailhead. There is a parking area near the trailhead where you can leave your car. Note that there may be parking fees, so be prepared with cash or a card.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, start at the Krimml Waterfalls bus stop. Take bus line 681 towards Wald im Pinzgau. After approximately 10 minutes, disembark at the 'Krimmler Kees' stop. From there, you will need to walk to the Krimmler Kees trailhead, which is about a 15-minute walk. Follow the signs for the hiking trail, which will lead you directly to the Krimmler Kees area.
Walking
If you prefer to walk from the Krimml Waterfalls area, start at the base of the waterfalls and follow the designated walking paths. Head towards the main trail leading up the valley. The hike to Krimmler Kees is approximately 2.5 km and takes about 30-40 minutes depending on your pace. The trail is well-marked, and you will enjoy scenic views along the way.
