Car
If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards the village of Hinterstoder. From Mostviertel, take the B122 road and follow the signs towards St. Pölten. Merge onto the A1 motorway, and then take exit 53 towards B138. Continue on B138 until you reach Hinterstoder. Once in Hinterstoder, follow the signs to Hutterer See. The final stretch will take you along a well-marked road leading directly to the lake's parking area. Expect to pay a parking fee of around €5 for the day.
Public Transportation
For those opting for public transportation, you can take a train from Mostviertel to the nearest major train station, which is in St. Pölten. From there, transfer to a regional bus heading to Hinterstoder. Buses run regularly, but be sure to check the schedule in advance. Once you arrive in Hinterstoder, you can either walk to Hutterer See, which is about a 30-minute scenic walk, or take a short taxi ride. The bus fare will be approximately €10-€15, and the taxi ride may cost around €10.
