    The Mühlviertler Schlossmuseum is located at Schlosshof 2 within Freistadt's historic center. From the Hauptplatz (main square), walk east. Schlosshof will be on your left. The walk is short and straightforward.

    Freistadt is accessible by bus and train. From the Freistadt Busterminal (Stifterplatz), the museum is a 10-15 minute walk. Head east towards the Hauptplatz and then follow the walking directions. From the Freistadt Bahnhof, it is approximately 3.5km outside of the town with no regular bus connections to the city center. Consider a taxi from the train station to the museum. A taxi ride would cost approximately €10-€15.
