From Innsbruck Airport or Ötztal-Bahnhof train station, take a public bus to your desired village in the Ötztal Valley. Buses run frequently, with coordinated timetables to connect with train and plane arrivals. A single bus fare from Ötztal-Bahnhof to Sölden is approximately €6-8. Consider purchasing the Ötztal Summer Card for free bus travel during the summer.
Car
Reach the Ötztal Valley via the Inntal Autobahn A12. Take the Ötztal exit and follow the main road into the valley. Be aware that some high alpine roads, such as the Ötztal Glacier Road and Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road, may have tolls. Parking is available in most villages, but can be limited during peak season. Hourly parking rates typically range from €1-3.
Cable Car
Many locations within the Ötztal Alps are best accessed via cable car. From the village of Oetz, the Acherkogelbahn gondola provides access to the hiking paradise of Hochoetz.
